Description

The Environmental Quality Council will meet on Tuesday, October 15,  from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. 

The agenda will include:

• The State of Georgia’s recently published PFAS strategy including impacts on permitting, and other key developments in this area;
• An update on the House Study Committee on Navigable Streams;
• A discussion on Title V Permit Fee changes;
• Appointment of a Vice Chair for the Council. If you are interested in serving as Vice Chair of the Environmental Quality Council, please email Clay Jones (cjones@gamfg.org) and Brittney Hull (bhull@gamfg.org) by COB, Friday, October 4;
• Clay Jones and Brittney Hull will review the GAM Policy Framework and lead a discussion on GAM policy positions with regarding environmental issues;
• Open discussion regarding environmental regulatory and legislative matters ahead of the 2025 Session;
• Council members weighing options for the 2025 Engagement Plan.
