We are very pleased to invite members to our Spring Meeting, May 13 – 15 at the Jekyll Island Club Resort. This is our 125th year of serving as the voice of the manufacturing industry in Georgia. Come celebrate with us! 

 

We live in a different world than when we met at our Fall Meeting last November. A federal election has come and gone. Georgia completed a landmark legislative session. An integrated rate plan is before the Public Service Commission to address soaring energy consumption. “Tariffs” has replaced “supply chain” as the hot topic in manufacturing. And so much more.  

 

GAM has put together a Spring Meeting agenda to make sense of it all and address other topics critical to manufacturers. Oh, and apart from all the serious stuff, we are also going to have some fun.  

 

Here’s an overview … 

 

Evening of Tuesday, May 13: Reception and Registration 

  • Please stop in and join us at our traditional reception and registration event from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy delicious food and friendship! 

  

Morning of Wednesday, May 14: First Business Session 

  • We kick things off with a special presentation from elected officials from Georgia’s government. This presentation will “unpack” developments from the 2024 legislative session that matter most to manufacturers.  
  • Tom Jalics, Chief Investment Strategist from Fifth Third Bank will then provide members with an economic outlook for 2025 and beyond.  
  • Up next will be a panel exploring game-changing advances in energy innovation. Featuring Michael Chanin, CEO, Cherry Street Energy, the discussion may leave you considering energy as a technology differentiator – not just a commodity. 
  • Bringing the morning to a close will be our very own Stephanie Scearce, VP, Workforce Innovation. Stephanie will provide members with a presentation on GAM’s groundbreaking workforce initiative, “Manufacturing Georgia”. This multi-media digital platform will create a network between manufacturers and future workers, grow the pool of workforce talent and promote the modern image of today’s manufacturing industry.  

 

Morning of Thursday, May 15: Second Business Session 

  • Stacy Watson, Director of Economic and Industrial Development at the Georgia Ports Authority will start our second business session. The Port is essential to manufacturers, and it’s undergoing a major, multi-year transformation to address booming growth. Stacy will give us an important “state of the Port” overview you won’t want to miss. 
  • Shifting gears, we then head into a keynote presentation on business succession planning from Sean Taylor, CEO of Smith + Howard Advisory. Sean will share his top five “painful lessons learned” from succession planning then will moderate a panel on this topic with guests. 
  • We will then host one of the most popular features at GAM meetings – our CEO Roundtable. Top executives from member companies will take the stage to share the issues keeping them up at night, but also those opportunities driving them out of bed each morning. 
  • And then … we are going to wrap things up with a presentation on how to create a winning culture from a very special “most valuable” guest, Dale Murphy. Dale was #3 on the field but #1 in the hearts of many Atlanta Braves fans.   

 

What about fun?  

 

  • In addition to the business sessions, GAM’s Spring Meeting will provide plenty of opportunities for networking and socializing, including cocktail hours, smores around the firepit, and games on the resort’s croquet lawn. 


Please mark your calendars for arrival at 4:00 PM Tuesday afternoon, May 13, with business and social gatherings taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, and departure Friday morning.

GAM IS INTRODUCING A NEW SINGLE DAY RATE! 

For the first time, we are offering members a special "single day rate" for $495. This rate is available to members who wish to participate for one conference day only.  It is a wonderful opportunity to reward and recognize members of your team. This single day rate is like a "day pass" --  it provides access to key sessions, social events, exhibit displays, meals and other special activities. Single Day attendees are also welcome to book a hotel room if they choose. This special rate applies to either Wednesday, May 14 or Thursday, May 15. The registration price covers daily meals and drinks provided by GAM set forth in the agenda. Spouses and guests are $200.00 each, which includes all meals and activities planned by GAM. Should you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know two weeks in advance of the meeting.  

CANCELLATION: We cannot accept cancellations for registration or hotel reservations after the deadline, Thursday, April 10, 2025.
